What are the books, how to buy and read them, what are some good webpages, how to prepare for questions in mains etc

You can choose history also if you are interested because it is like a story only and it is very simple. No one can ask out of syllabus in this subject and it covers in the GS-1 paper also. So need to study extra subject. I had cleared mains by selecting history once. So on that experience, I am suggesting you to think about OP. Sub. again.
